Song of Atlantis was delveloped by Jonathan Myers, Nathan Ho, and myself. The concept is that of a fantasy set
in a pre-flood Atlantean world. Upon the birth of that concept we combined all of our ideas into a cohesive
Antediluvian Mythos, a creative "bible" of sorts, from which stories are being written.

Our characters live in a world wrought with conflict, in both the material and spiritual realms; a world long ago
in which mythic creatures roam the earth and angelic forces war with the kings of men for dominion over
creation.

For me, this project is a realization of a book I conceived during my college years. The story was to be an
allegorical retelling of the story of creation, the war in Heaven, and the fall of man in the garden of Eden. My
inspirations for the book were the writings of Calvin Miller (
A Requiem for Love, The Singer Trilogy) and John
Milton's
Paradise Lost.  I struggled with how to correctly portray certain truths in a fantasy setting, yet still
retain the essence of those truths, such as the nature of God and the person and work of Jesus the Christ.

The first book in the series, Forgotten Songs, will tell the tales of our
main characters and serve to introduce the reader to the world in which
these characters live - during the rise and reign of the Atlantis Empire.
Song of Atlantis tells the story of the world as it was before The Great
Deluge of Noah, in an epic poetic style, full of figures both historical and
mythological.

The second book in the series will be
The Empyrean War, a prequel
retelling the story of the creation of the cosmos, the fall of Lucifer, and
the creation of man and his corruption in Eden.
